If you are a fan of live, independent music in Houston here is your opportunity for an alternative introduction to the fun! Without skipping a beat Visionary Noise has specialized the challenging task of making a success out the concept of the multi-genre show. We are hosting hardcore, indie and metal shows while embracing rap, pop, country, folk and more.

For the Community is a popular music and arts festival that has been covered by The Chronicle’s 29 95, Free Press Houston, Red Publication, Cable stations, radio and more. In fact, the Houston Press calls it “Houston’s Fastest Growing Festival”

A particularly appealing aspect of this festival is that Visionary Noise provides all this completely FREE of any cover charge, FTC is free to attend for anyone 18+ interested in music, art, and excitement, and attendance continues to climb.

The festival is the strategically centered in the heart of the arts district, and timed to coincide with Spring Break in the Spring, and Houston’s popular Art Crawl weekend, in the Fall. Our Fall edition is centered at the core of Art Crawl events drawing 10k+ people walking between the gallerys and art studios which surroud FTC.

Houston has been blessed with a vibrant music scene. The current crop of groups produce a variety of sounds and concert experiences, giving Houston-area residents plenty of options for a rocking night out. Visionary Noise has been successful in presenting the best of the bunch in the midst of so much musical talent!

We are attracting people between the ages of 14 and 70. Majority of our festival goers are between 17 and 27.

We invite vendors to table, or tent in designated areas, and provide ample promotion with our aggressive social media campaigns and website promotions.


This two day festival features a diverse lineup of 70+ musical acts, speakers, artists, art installations, interactive activities, and merchants. FTC advances community, culture, and fun!

Past acts have included many FPSF (Summer Fest) bands, musicians from Los Angeles, Alaska, Washington, NJ, CT, Japan, Europe and other locations. We are hosting acts that have been played on 94.5 the Buzz, KPFT, and other stations.

We currently accept unsolicited material from bands, musicians, artists, and performers. We operate with a unique business model, serving progressive, dynamic musicians and some of the best talent Texas and the Third Coast have to offer.

We have dedicated FM radio time in Houston, Galveston, Goodrich, Huntsville and beyond to celebrate and promote this eleventh edition of FTC.

When people think of Texas’s most musical city, Houston is usually not the first one that comes to mind, however Houston has been slowly growing its music scene in the shadows. The indie rock sphere is one place in particular where Houston sparkles, and music fans outside of this great city are starting to take notice. Fans are coming in just for this FTC Festival.

We are Visionary Noise an independent record label located in Houston Texas. Our promotions group hosts a variety of national festivals and shows in order to build fanbases centered around talent as it moves around the country. We have produced shows in NYC and other major cities around the nation. 

Besides the shining star that For The Community Festival is twice annually, Visionary Noise puts on four to six shows per month throughout the year. These intermediary shows provide the perfect excuse to put fliers in hands throughout the year, showcase talent, promote vendors and sponsors, build our list, and promote the arts and culture movement in the Greater Houston and Metro area.

Visionary Noise puts local, regional and international acts in the spotlight every weekend. We hope to see you at one of our shows soon. We aim to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, for good clean fun!
